Melbourne is probably my favorite city in Australia. I visited twice: once for the Australian Grand Prix 2015 and once with friends to really explore the city. For the second trip, we rented a car for a portion of our stay and had to drive on the “wrong” side of the road.
To Do:
Visit St. Kilda and the little penguins
Visit Brighton Beach, home to the iconic beach huts
Drive the Great Ocean Road to Lorne Bay, Apollo Bay, Loch Ard Gorge, and the Twelve Apostles
Take in the views from the Eureka Skydeck 88 during the day or night
Walk through Queen Victoria Market
See the graffiti art at Hosier Lane
Visit Federation Square, the Times Square of Melbourne
Spend a day walking through the Fitzroy Gardens, the Melbourne Cricket Grounds, and the Royal Botanic Gardens
